The Dimestop (UK)

The Dimestop is a collective of dancers focussed on preserving, promoting and educating the dance style of popping amongst communities in Scotland. Steeped in decades of practice, study and close collaboration with the pioneers of popping the organisation is not for profit and carries a primary objective of sharing knowledge and providing a space and place for all wishing to learn the dance style. It is both inclusive and accessible to all.

Started by David ‘Tesko’ Wark in 2013, with a vision of growing the budding popping scene in Glasgow it stands as the only collective of poppers in Scotland and continues to grow, due to the support of likeminded individuals and their commitment to promoting the dance. Facilitating successful competitions, showcases and workshops around Scotland through their own self-funding they believe in helping others learn popping.
