Hip Hop Collective (International)

Hip Hop Collective is an exciting fusion of one British B-girl, one French Hip Hop dance champion plus four American B-boys from Chosen Dance Company who have joined forces to create and perform work on this side of the Atlantic. Their style is an entertaining and funky mix of breakin’, locking, popping, boogaloo and house that is true to the roots of Hip Hop.

Chosen Dance Company is a Hip hop based education company based in Philadelphia and directed by Clyde Evans who was one of the original members of Rennie Harris' Pure Movement. Clyde choreographed for Kompany Malakhi's successful production A Hip Hop Story in 2003 and company members Marcus Tucker, Husain Zahir and Amra ‘Flitz’ Ricketts came over as guest dancers and teachers.

During their stay in the UK they founded the Hip Hop Collective in collaboration with Sunanda Biswas, Normann Charlemoine and Independance. The company will be teaching and touring across the UK this summer.
