Sean Graham's Foreign Bodies Orchestra (FBO) presents:
POLITICAL BODIES - a theatrical triple bill experience.
Sensitising and making sense of over half a century of Britain's identity crisis, culture clashes and social fractures is no mean feat but, through spoken word, dance theatre, beatbox, hip hop, drama, live music and comedy, FBO are going to set the evening a blaze doing just that.
Triple bill line up:
1) Rivers of Blood - Inspired by MP Enoch Powell's 1968 speech on the threat immigration. RoB traces the cultural clashes that followed through the decades in consideration of what was then provoked or vindicated.
2) Buskin' Boy - A coming of age bio performance that speaks on young aspiration, the paradigm of gang culture and an unknown place beyond inherent tribal identity.
3) Race Tracks - Chaos by competition ensues the collapse of British multiculturalism as the country's leader grapples to retain its nostalgic sentiment of imperial greatness by putting a horde of 'Ethniletes' on a test course of Olympic proportion.
Tickets: £15, £12 concessions. £10 early birds via www.richmix.org.uk
