HIGHER LEARNING: Self Reflection and Empowerment

Led by Breakin' Convention's Open Art Surgery mentor Anthony Ekundayo Lennon, this day enables artists to take a look at where they are now and would like to be in the future. This shared session is an alchemy of drama, movement, listening/discussion, games and specific theatre based exercises all leading to a deeper sense of self awareness and focused empowerment both personally and professionally.

Anthony uniquely utilises knowledge as actor, theatre maker and director to facilitate sessions with artist development at their core. His career includes working at the Central School of Speech & Drama, NHS Trust 'Race, Culture & Identity' conferences and recently the Creative Society's 'This Is It' career development event at the Birmingham Hippodrome. He has just completed assisting Jo McInnes (Royal Shakespeare Company) and a previous pivotal career highlight includes being resident director to Debbie Allen for Cat On A Hot Tin Roof.
