The Senior Marketing Officer should be well-versed in hip hop dance - as well as other elements of hip hop culture and current trends - ensuring that all marketing strategies resonate authentically with the audience. Your appreciation of this genre and ability to prepare and deliver effective and engaging marketing campaigns is exactly why this role is for you.
We are seeking a Senior Marketing Officer to join the Breakin’ Convention team in promoting hip-hop culture to global audiences. You will have a good knowledge of hip hop dance, music, trends, and culture, ensuring that all marketing strategies speak to both grassroots and established audiences. You will up to date with current trends in hip hop and street culture, to ensure marketing campaigns remain relevant. You will elevate our brand visibility, reach new audiences, and craft a strong narrative that builds a loyal fan base. You will be a creative marketeer with fresh and original ideas, who’s not afraid to think outside of the box.
This role requires someone who understands social media marketing across the main platforms where hip hop culture thrives and someone who can develop compelling / engaging content.

Our Projects
Open Art Surgery
Open Art Surgery is a one week development programme for emerging hip hop artists. Work alongside cutting-edge mentors to test ideas, then present work-in-progress to a public audience with facilitated discussion to get feedback on your ideas.
Back To The Lab
Back To The Lab is a two week intensive for experienced choreographers to explore new ways of approaching the creation of new work, culminating in the development of a new piece performed in front of a public audience.
Higher Learning
Higher Learning is a hip hop theatre education and development programme committed to the development of the genre. Lead by a range of industry specialists through intensive workshops, courses and educational days.
Future Elements
A six-day programme bringing together young people aged 13-16 to learn new skills and explore their talents. These aspiring dancers, MCs, graffiti artists, film makers and music producers work intensively with professional hip hop artists to write lyrics, produce music, choreograph routines, create artwork and shoot a music video, before its shown to the public at their very own film night.
